Both sides were written by Edward Clark Sanford, who is still living in Ocala. I contacted him recently, and here's what he wrote:
"THEY TOLD ME YOU WERE LEAVING" was a cut from a rock opera I wrote,"REQUIEM",about the death of the idealism of the "hippie 60's.
Vocals & guitars (a 70 DAN ARMSTONG, which I still have); Brenda Sanford (still my wife),vocals; Sam Osborne, bass; Troy Strawder, drums.
Troy went on to play bass with the BLUZBUSTERS.
Ed later added that it was Pendragon's only record, although the full rock opera "Requiem" does exist (but only on quarter-inch tape, recorded at 15 IPS).
If you ever come across this record, pick it up. Fans of early 70s psych and folk rock sounds won't be disappointed.
