Hey Chazbo,

I'll be playing with Lee and Dewey at Geezerpalooza 2008 at Ft. Laud. War Memorial August 9th, our group from '68/69, The Dead End Kids......I'll pass on your regards. First met Dewey in '63 where he played his first job with me (Tim Mettar) and Kenny Simons on a flat bed trailer in the parking lot of Arbetters Hot Dogs on Bird Rd. & S.W. 87th Ave. Dewey later joined our group, The Dead End Kids in 1968 and was an usher in my wedding. Met Lee in 1965 at the Par Tee Lounge. Lee was with the Bangs and I, The Blue Beatles. Lee also joined the DEK's in '68 and he too was in my wedding. I Hadn't seen Lee or Dewey for over 35 yrs until 2 years ago during a visit to Orlando. 3 weeks ago I went down (from St. Louis) to rehearse for the GP 2008 show and stayed at Lee's home on the Indian River in Titusville. When I arrived I asked to go buy some wine to support my habit....they wouldn't hear of it. I drank his wine, ate his salmon and steaks, English muffins, drank his coffee, used his toilet paper, watched the t.v. in the bedroom...you get the picture...oh, pick up and delivery from airport. To date...no billing from Florida. Just to bring the record on Dewey & Lee full turn....Dewey is as cute as ever and a wonderful person....and in Lee's defense, and knowing him as far back as I do....the episode at his house during practice sounds to me like he really was making a point about how he felt about his house guests....I think he may have copped that attitude from hanging around me too long...HA!
