Hi Mike,
The single was recorded/released in 1967. It was cut in Atlanta at the urging of their homies the Canadian Rogues.

Members were:

Gary Cooke, vocals
Tracy Anderson, lead guitar
George Stewart, rhythm
Mike Trabusly, rhythm
Mike Roller, bass
Danny Province, organ
Jim Stewart, drums

The Jackson in question was their manager, Bernie Jackson. I take it the band was his "investment".

Thanks to Mike Markesich who originally gave me much of this info.

Jeff
