Hi Mike,
That particular group of Last Words came from Clarkson, Ontario. The record you mention was their second release (in Canada); I'm not sure how many of their recordings came out in the USA.

They are not related to the New York area band that came down to play at the Par-Tee Lounge in South Dade, liked what they saw, then relocated to Miami. It was while they were down here that "Can't Stop Loving You" on Atco became a big regional hit, spread to many areas nationally, and wound up reaching #78 on the Billboard Hot 100. With that kind of success, I'm sure they did some TV, although I have no hard facts to back this up.

Tommy James was a fan of the band's, and later produced two solo singles by Last Words vocalist John Lombardo. I've never had any contact with any of the members of the band.
